SR20DET Rev. Problem... any ideas???

Hey i just recently noticed this problem wit my sr20!!!

My rev at about 5500-6000. and in second gear it stops at about 4500...

Right when the car is turned on .. it revs up fine with no problem.. but after the car has been running for a while... the revs stop as i described up top...This is while the car is moving in gear by the way..

Dont know what the problem could be.. please help..

Note that i did tighten up all the hose clams for boost leak.. so i have no more ideas...

Maybe your throwing codes and your ecu is putting a rev limiter in to protect it self.

ecu swaps are very hard :keke: you can pick them up for about 100~

Tightening your clamps is not checking for boost leaks. Try again.

i typically arge 250 to swap an ecu just because there so much electrical shittodeal with. but you have but you have to find the ecu yourself

Well my question is, does the car hesitate when it hits those RPMs? Also does it smoke when it does? If it does, then its possible you have a crappy o2 sensor.

If it does this when the car is warm...then it could also be your ECU water temp sensor

once is hits those RPM's , it just stops there. no smoke when it does that... it only does it when its been running for a little bit. sorry about the attitude..
