Yeah but you'll be close to maxing them out. Get some deatschwerks 660's or 740's to get the max out of that turbo

It also depends on how much boost you are planning to build and get it tune so you will know if you do max out the injectors or not.

Don't buy Deatschworks, they aren't 100% guaranteed to work. Mine didnt work when I got them, flooded my motor, and they were all supposedly tested before sending out. This has happened on some other motors of people I know. I will soon be getting new and bigger injectors soon when I get cams.

hopefully you have an upgraded maf and fuel pump too..

and if your clutch can handle that amount

and some type of fuel/engine management tool...

unfortunately deatschwerks injectors have not been doing too well lately. I wouldnt recommend them anymore but I have heard great things from RC and Power enterprise... nismo doesnt offer 660's or 600 range injectors unfortunately

yeah im not getting DW ive already heard their flowing problem, and yes ive got a S-AFC and walbro, along with a z32. car is tuned to 13psi for stock turbo just wondering what 17-20psi on the 2871 would require. i planned on some 550's but didnt want to get them and be limited to anything too low.

I have read of someone's problem with them (not on this forum, I think some of you know who I'm talking about) and I know someone personally who just got done rebuilding his motor, broke it in properly all for us to take out again this weekend due to their injectors.

We have had two warrenty claims on Nissan side feed injectors in close to two months. We sell 125-150 sets of injectors a month and see about a 1% warrenty claim rate, many of which end up not being injector issues at all. We stand behind our product and flow rates 100%.

We have used DeatschWerks Injectors on multiple cars, and have had NO injector issues whatsoever. If there are injector issues i would like links to the threads about them.

As well, i trust david to the extent that, he would inform me of any issues in advance, so that our customers as well as our reputation, does not suffer from inferior products.

Up to this point, we have had 0 problems. DeatschWerks FTW.

550's max out at ~350whp, that turbo is good for ~350-370hp, however you could always run less boost, but then why not get a smaller turbo? Get yourself a set of dw 650's or neesmo 740 for even more head room.

the reason to not go so big when unnecisarry is simple!!

Minimum injector Open Time!!!!

Talk to david about this, because he is the man on injectors but let me give you a quick run down.

Side feed has an efficient INJopen time of about 1.7-35(40)ms, depending on injector manufacture.

With a 370cc injector, a good idle open time is around 2.2ms. 550's Idle injection is about 1.6-1.8. At this open time (1.6), the injector starts popping and sticking closed during cycles, because the signal for open time is not effectively long enough, to stick the injector open.

When using BIGGER injectors, you can use a full ems to do things like timing retard and cranking in extra air visavi the IAC to compensate for a 2.0 injector time on a 1000cc injector (our drag car... still rich). When using a tunned ecu etc, you will have alot more issues.

So, when you can, i always vote for the smallest and most effiecient injector for the application. A fuel injector is a DYNAMIC flow device, not a static flow device, kind of like a turbo, and they too have efficiencies that can effect the way your engine builds power.

No links to these problems? Again..... DeatschWerks FTW~~:duh:

babys blew his motor for a few reasons. im not going to get into it but i know enough and such so please...stfu.
i dont think you know the full story so please dont try
blaming injectors is a cop out

anyways
i never had a poblem w/ my deatschworks
but honestly for my new setup i just got nismo 740cc

for that turbo get 740 sizing
and be done.

sr20det redtop
a gt30 (25psi) with a 50 shot, !!STOCK!! injectors warbro pump AeroMotive fpr. Air fuel's were 12.2 with spray, and 11.8-12.0 with out spray...oh and a SAFCII with a 40% correction...
the car was too fast for coilovers,(it would just spin a 265 tire) had to swtich back to stock suspention in the rear and redue the subframe bushings. the motor had a cometic headgasket and a set of ARP studs... THATS IT!

really? so you personally have maxed out 550cc injectors with a .64 ar 2871 and an sr20det with some supporting mods?

Where do you people come up with these arbitrarty statements?

i havent used the 2871 with 555cc injectors but i have with 480s...

I have pushed over 380whp on some older setups of mine on the dyno in 03 with a 62-1/t3 and 555cc injectors no problemo with 100 octane the injectors werent about to max out. Ive also seen many cars down in FL runing around the street with 350whp on 93 octane and 555cc injectors with standalones.

with the right management and FPR and fuel pressure/pump you can get 555cc style high impedence to flow out to 400hp on st sr20det and th ka24de...

600cc would prolly be perfect if you going bigger on the CAMS and the Intake mani because there will be more air + the cfm increase from the larger compressor (52 trim i beleve 2871) etc.

740 is too big imo.
