View Full Version : Welded Diff- What To Use?!

A shop teacher of mine is having his friend who is a professional welder weld a diff for me. My shop teacher claims this guy is the shit, but just wanted to be sure. He's done many larger ford/chevy rearends, but nothing this small i believe.

He says he's using NICKLE ROD. Is that the correct style/material to use on a welded diff?

Just want to make sure its being done right and safely.

globs and globs of it mixed with diff fluid... in your diff..

OR you could mix it with tranny fluid, and put it in your trannnny
