ok i was looking for a MT driveshaft for my MT swap.. and came across an SR20 drive shaft... now can i use it for MY stock KA?? i know it will bolt right on .. but the KA driveshaft has thAT rubber coupling which SR20 drive shaft don't have, would this cause any driveabilty issue??? o and if any one has a drive shaft KA or SR none ABS and is willing to ship to NC, let me know...

3 things differentiate driveshafts.
1. Auto or Manual Transmission
2. S13 or S14
3. ABS or Non-ABS

The SR driveshaft does not have the large rubber coupling right off the transmission, that is the only difference though. Bolts in the same as the KA would.

yes that rubber part where the drive shaft connect to the tranny.. the SR drive shaft use U jont instead of the rubber coupling.. my question is that would it be ok to put the SR drive shaft on an KA.. would it cause vibration or anythnig like that????

You would have to be a real lightweight to notice a difference.

3 things differentiate driveshafts.

If the donor car and your car being fixed are the same for all 3 categories, then the propeller shaft is interchangeable.

Also, the stock shaft is very prone to vibration due to age and use. It would be a great idea to invest in a one-piece unit. I recommend The Driveshaft Shop.

yeah my buddy used the SR driveshaft, no noticeable vibration
