weird. This ? was on a test. How does a lean condition cause excessive oil consumption? I really have no idea.

what do u guys think?

My best guess is that lean conditions create higher combustion temperatures which creates more crankcase pressure and blowby. Or lean conditions cause cause detonation which does damage to rings and pistons which creates more blowby. This is just a guess so take it for what it's worth.

I'm going to guess because of the higher intake charges the oil that is still on the cylinder walls after the piston has passed (there is some!) will be burnt.
