my sportmax 006 came in 17x8 +35mm offset all around on an s13 do you think i need spacers for the front and/or rear or should i be fine? i plan to run 225/45/17 all around as well.

you should be fine. if not run a smaller tire or get a small spacer

Are you running stock suspension or a beefier coilover?
If it's the latter you MIGHT need spacers, test fit it and you will know.

yeah sorry im running sportlines with gr2s and i have a feeling i will need spacersing in the front

09-11-2006, 08:58 PM
i test fitted the rim in the front and its just about touching the strut you what size spacer do you think i would need 5mm? 10mm? 25mm? cause the rim sat flush with the fender. im asuming im also running 0 camber but im not sure.

It shouldn't rub unless you have coilovers.

buttt.. if you insist that it's rubbing, just try putting some washers on your studs just to measure how thick of a spacer you'll need... do NOT use them as spacers though.. haha

i vote for an "official sportmax fitment thread" to be stickied

Well if you think about it, read all the 17x8 +35 FN's threads. Tons of threads on it...along with tons on info.

Most people run a 215/45 on a 17x8 +35 with FN's becuase anything wider will hit. So that given, with 225/45 you will probably hit. So if I were you I would use a 8mm.

But if your all about flushiness then this would be near perfect. 17x8 +35 with a 235/45/17 with 10mm spacer up front and a 15mm in the rear. This would give you room on the inside for the strut, no stretch on the tire, and really flush with only a roll...no pull needed...providing you dont have wheel tuck.

I had 17x9 sportmax 962 +35 all the way around. 235/45/17, I had a 5mm in the front, and I was fine. PLEASE post some pics when you get done.

photobucket is down right now so ill post the pics of the fitment hopefully tonight.

17x9 + 25 will barely clear coilovers.

1inch = 25.4 mm ~ 25 mm

So you do the math.

strut clearance its really close (front strut)

flushness of front rim without spacer.

clearance for the rear should be fine.

i will probably need spacers in the front but do you think i will need extended lugs?

09-12-2006, 06:10 PM
You can get away with 5mm spacers on the stock lugs, but, anything bigger, and you will have to get extended lugs. I really think you will be fine. I had 17x9 +35 and I used 5mm spacers. You have more clearance. The celarance you have, is 5mm more than I had with my spacers.

OEM jack FTW...I luv it!!!

If its flush with the fender that far away from the wheel, its not gonna be anywhere near there when its low. I believe those gr2 are slightly slotted on the spindle part so you might be able to get more clearance if you take more camber out. I think a 5mm should do it.

what lug nuts fit with these wheels is there a specific size or are they just tuner lugs. will these fit?

09-13-2006, 03:44 PM
Those will work, they look like close end muteki's to me.

09-13-2006, 03:51 PM
i think they are. im ordering the lugs and the tires tonight 225/45/17 falken Falken GR Beta FK-451 so ill probably get them in a week or so ill post pics when this is all over for those interested. oh and the 5mm spacers.

09-13-2006, 10:27 PM

did you ever get these wheels on your car with the right fitment? I was planning to get these wheels with the same specs. Please post pictures if you have them on.
