Haven't done it on the 240 yet, but I believe it's a fairly easy job. I remember somebody saying if you remove the backseat and pull back the carpet, it will give you access to the fuel tank. There should be a little circular setup where, you need to take a board and hammer to turn the outter ring counterclockwise. Just gently pull out the fuel pump setup, but don't break the floater off...it'll screw up your fuel gage. Carefully remove the fuel pump from the plumbing lines. Then when you put on the new pump, don't put the little shoe on till it's on the line...will save you time and trouble. Then install the fuel pump setup, and reverse what cha just did.

I'm not sure if this is all correct though. I am taking this info from what people have said, and from my experience on an old camaro I had. A quick way to tell if your fuel pump is out is just to remove the fuel line going into your fuel filter, then just turn the key to accessory. If you get some gas squirting out (should be a good amount), then it's something else.

Anyone else feel free to correct anything I'm wrong on here.

I helped a friend do this with his truck.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
do NOT do this with fuel in there!
I'm not sure how to do it while on the car, but we removed the tank, drained it, then filled it with water (because the fumes are what lights on fire! so doing it empty still isn't enough). &nbsp;I asked him why go through so many precautionary steps, he told me, &nbsp;"personal experience, trust me". &nbsp;I've heard some of his horror stories, I believe its' worth the extra PITA to NOT light my ass on fire <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
