HELP!!! Car keeps stalling when I start

ok tonight my car was acting up first it was shaking and having a rough time getting above 3000 rpm then after a while it just disspeared and I thought it was gone. So I parked it at my gf's house then when I was about to leave I start my car and it shakes and just stalls. I keep doing it then nothing. Can't rev it or anything when I start it. The car starts then it just dies. Also when I popped my hood my intake cone was off but Im guessing it fell off during my repeated times trying to start to car and fell off during all the shaking. Any ideas whats wrong??? I need to get my car running up asap. My dad said could be the alternator but who knows??

Mmmm try replacing your filter and check for leak.. my car was doing the same without a filter ...

if your give some throttle ? mine was very slugish but after i replaced my filter all my trouble was gone ..

maybe its your MAF

hey man another thing is that you maybe should check your clutch fluid or one of your clutch cyclinders because sometimes like that happen to me onces and your cyclinders could be a problem

Well today I checked my cap and rotor it seemed ok, I checked my wires and everything they seemed ok. Funny thing is my dad tested it while I was at work and it would start.When I got home it wouldnt start anymore. The car cranks and you can hear it wanting to start but it wont. I turn the key but it just shakes and wont start.
