Hey i am getting ready to order my wheels this week i want the mb weapons
in 17" not sure to go 17x9 +17 all around with a 235/40/17 or do 17x8 +27 i think front with a 225/45/17 and a 17x9 rear with a 245/40/17. I live in a country area and the roads are good someplaces bad others i also go to drift practice events so i dont want much stretch i have megan street coilovers. I want the wheels to look flush with the fenders they are not rolled but i will roll the lip if i have too. so what tire size isnt going to bulge out, be too tall and wil keep my speedo around the same speed.

17x8-tire size ??
17x9-tire size ??

17x9-tire size all around ??

also what offset will put me flush they come like +27 for the 8's
and +17 for the 9's i also need to clear the coilover.

17x9 +17 will clear coilovers easily all around

if you run 225's you will clear fenders easily, anything more or less depends on height

roll your fenders, its easy

no need to stagger unless u want the look

for pix search in the groupbuy/advertiser special forum, redsh!ft did a group buy i think

would a 17x8 +28 front and 17x9 +17 stick out about the same i want to lower my car more too. also with a 17x8 with 28 offset rub the coilover.

I am pretty sure i found the tire setup i want which is a 235/45/17 F and 255/40/17 R I saw that in the drift bible movie on the kei office s14 he was using 17x8 17x9. with that tire setup

dude, have you ever even driven a car or been in one at a racing venue?

if not, I wouldn't suggest going with those JUST because you saw the drift king or some fucker do it

first decide what you want to do with your car

then pick tires then check available sizes

then ask yourself if you can afford that size and/or any necessary work to make it fit

if you're a new drifter,...do you want 255's in back? I don't drift, but common sense suggests that a 255 will be harder to break loose for a new driver than a 245 or 235

oh, and if the tire you pick (presumably ST115's or other cheaper tire) is available in 235/40/17 i'd go with that instead of a 45 sidewall. 45 series is fairly tall.
