I found a 95 240 that seems to be in good shape but it has 119K miles on it... the price is nice but im gonna need to drive this car daily for probly 3 to 4 years (college) before i can afford an SR swap... though i suppose there are alot of KA on here pretty cheap. How much would it cost to have a shop swap in another 95+ KA if the engine did go out?

the engine +drivetrain itself should last for a Long time..  200k + miles it's the auxillary shit that starts going out round 150k miles.. like starter, etc..

We have a member of 240sx.org up here in MA that has 230k on his 95.  He beats it up too.  Never rebuilt, just replaces timing chain at 177k.  Has all bolt-ons too.  UR pulley, cat back N1, HS header, 8mm wires, Injen SRi.  all the good stuff!

Hey guidot. Where in MA are you guys?? I haven't met anyone yet from MA with a 240SX. email me at [email protected] and let me know if there are any meets.

Sorry I know this has nothing to do with the Topic but it was the first time I saw someone from MA reply.

My KA has 119K on right now, and it still running awesome.

I was wondering, has anyone here ever added bolt-ons to a KA with this much mileage? Right now its all stock

Iron cast KA with regular maintenance = 1 tough motor, i love it!!  Iron cast engines last longer than aluminum engines if you are planning on keeping it awhile.  Nothing wrong with SRs, but in 30-40 years (lol) they become very hard and will tend to warp and crack after 10-20 years of use from now.  I know, that a long time, but it doesn't hurt to know.
