Greddy Counter Weight

So i have the Greddy Counter Weight Shift Knob and the thing with this is that it doesnt screw all the way down and it pretty much sits higher than my stock knob. the greddy is threaded almost all the way to the top minus a couple mm but it is no where near it. Im guessing that it should be near or at the top of the thread of the shifter?

it is a maz/niss sized shift knob. I know its not a really tech question but figured id post it here.

Sits a few mm from the top, like you said. 3 threads left or so.

yea i did forget to mention i have b&m short shifter. i definately have more than 3 threads left it only goes about half way up the knob which seems weird.
