paint your fender and hood first :P but seriously, I like the way the wheels match the car right now, but if you HAD to paint them, red rs-8's might look kinda neat, but Id probably go with black. (if the pic on the left is your current car in your sig)

The outer part isnt chromed, its anodized most likely.

Are you going to attempt to take the wheels apart or just mask and shoot? Make sure to prep well either way...I would go with bronze IMO

yeah i'm going to take it apart so it would come out cleaner...but bronze is also a good color

i'm a big fan of bronze.. but not on the wantanabe's... maybe gold? you cant go wrong with black watanabe's. if you repaint them, its only right to get them re-machine polished, in my town, its like $20 a rim to repolish

they'll charge you. the place is called performance plus located in long beach (just down the street from my house). look them up, u live in riverside right? it shouldnt be that much of a drive. i'm getting my rims repolished over there. call them first, i dont wanna quote them and give you the wrong info, but i'm pretty sure thats what the guy told me the price would be.
they also mount and balance for like 12 bucks a tire too i think.

Wow, didnt hear about that place. I tried another place in LBC but they wouldnt touch my wheels because they were 3 piece (maybe the same one, cant remember). Also I hope those watanabes are easy to take apart like some older mesh, like epsilons. Some if not most 3 piece wheels require a BFH and a torch to get apart, aka its not easy.

it looks easy to take apart cause its held on by nuts and bolts

So are ssr mesh..try taking those apart by just removing the bolts. Just because its has nuts and bolts doesnt mean it will just fall apart when you remove them.

Go with Red. Red with grey paint would be very nice.

You can powder coat them yourself if you got the knowledge and know how but you need a big enough electric oven or special lights to "bake" the rims get them hot enough....it'll cost you some money for all the equipment to do it it'll be cheaper to pay a professional to do them and it'll last just as long as any stock or OEM poweder coated rim.

you have too take them to a pro.....i dont noe what s13 S I L V I A talkin about there are'nt that many people who i know that have a electric oven in their garage. powdercoating aint even that expensive too do it. i think like a bill or 2 you can get all four done an they come out nice an shiny. =) like brand new. i have seen painted rims an powder coated rims an if i'm gonna change the color or my rims i'd go with the powder coating.
