when driving my car (5 spd) you take off and everything is fine, shift into second gear and give gas, rpms go up but acceleration is very delayed. does anyone have any ideas of what it may be?? help please!!

I seem to be having that problem. It's like...you floor it and the speedo needle goes up too slowly.....

haha...just kidding....

But seriously, I had a problem a little while ago, and it turns out that I had jumped engine timing, so I was running with advanced timing. I did the timing chain and made some adjustments and everything was fine....It did this all the time though....not only in certain gears.

maybe your clutch is goin.  How many miles are on it? Also...can you drive?  That could be a problem as well.

Could be leaking master/slave cyllinder and clutch fluid.
