i put a s13 ka24de in my corolla and its finally running, but i need to figure out some bugs. i can rev fine is its full open thorttle, but when i try to bring rpms up slowly it bogs and dies. i figure it might be a vacuum problem since theres a bunch of vacuum lines i didnt know what to do with so i just plugged em up.
first question is about these two hoses that connect to the intake. i made custom intake so couldnt plug these into the pipe like a stock 240. i put a breather on the big hose and just plugged the smaller one up. do these have to be plugged into the pipe? could someone explaint what they do?*not my car jsut for reference*

second there are three or four other small lines coming from under the throttle body that i also just plugged up. what also are these for?

lastly there is a sensor that is the only one unplugged and im not sure if i need it or not. it comes out of the harness right next to where the coil plug comes out.

any help is much appreciated. and please no stupid posts like why did you swap a KA, and why not a 20v or 3sge or something. i did it cause i felt like it. but anyone who can help me out, thanks

the small one u can cap off but the big one u need to send a hose to the IACV (idle air control valve) thats located in ur intake manifold. putting a breather on the intake pipe is like a HUGE air leak after the maf.

the hoses under the TB are just vacuum hoses that go to a carbon canister or some sort that burns off fuel tank fumes... u can cap those off.

the last pic, can you take a better pic of that plug? i need to see a side view of it to verify what it is.

thanks for the help, ill need to plug that bigger hose into my intake then. i took three more pics of that plug. im guessing it goes somewhere by the coil or intake box on the s13. but not sure what its for.

does your car throw any codes? that wouldnt be an external coil plug cuz if it was, your car wouldnt run at all (no spark)

That looks like connector E34 - Power Steering Oil Pressure Switch. Ecu pin #43. Wire colors Black/Red and Black. You can connect it if your steering rack has a pressure switch on it.

For vaccum hose routing download the manual. In the 91-94 240SX manual, its under Engine Fuel and Emission Control Systems, Pages 6-8.

thanks guys. i guess i can leave it unplugged since im running no PS. as for the hoses, i plugged the big one into my intake pipe and plugged the small one off, and for the rest of the ones coming from under the throttle body. but still same deal. revs high fine but slowly it bogs out and dies. im gona take a look at everything again and see if everythings hooked up right. i really hope its not a big problem.
