View Full Version : how to bypass clutch lockout switch

i know that it may be in the FAQ but i have no time to go look for it so can some one please help me with this problem i have read the auto to 5 speed swap f.a.q but that really did help me can some on send me pic on how or are the relay is at the box next to my battary. or a link that shows the step by step

I belive all you do is ground it out.

Dunno how its set up i never bothered with it

Ok fine here is how is should be done:

-You trace the BLK-WHT wire that comes from your Ignition Switch and would have gone to the Inhibitor Switch on your A/T Tranny.
-Cut it at the Inhibitor Switch.
-Your trace the BLK-YEL wire coming off the starter and it goes back to the Inhibitor Switch.
-Cut it at the Inhibitor Switch.
-Now solder and heatshrink the BLK-WHT wire to the BLK-YEL wire.

You no longer have any Inhibitor Switch or Clutch Interlock Switch, its a direct connection between IGN. Switch and Starter Motor.
