what size tires do you have?

Well i just got some rims coming to me. I was wondering what size tires you all run on 17inch rims.

Generally speaking, and without stretch:
17x7- 225
17x7.5- 225
17x8- 235/245
17x8.5- 235/245
17x9-245/255/275
17x9.5- 255/275
17x10- 275 (mostly because finding tires wider than that for 17" applications gets prohibitively expensive)

I like my 245/40s but will be going to 255/40s if I can figure out how to get them to clear under load.

By the way, rims are the outer part of the wheel on which the tire is mounted, not the whole assembly itself. I know the two have become interchangeable but "rims" when describing wheels is incorrect word usage.

Ive had 215-45 on a 9inch and 235-40 on a 9 inch

I have 245/40 on my 17x8 +35(i think) might put some 215/40 up front on some 17x7, just cuz I have the tires already and im broke.
