Vinhisbored 's 98 ka24det set up

Friend went to go get dyno tuning today
Installed the safc there
when parked, car's not on, throttle completely open, tps/safc reads 84%, run it, tuned
another run, reads 64 % this time
drove around it was reading 49%
he drove home, reading 64ish, then supposedly spiked to 70%

While making the runs the car would stumble until maybe past 2.5 then it would seem to run nice, guy doing his dyno was suggesting that to check the tps

vinhisbored will probably add more detail to this, but any help's appreciated

any ideas? and if it's a bad tps any other ways to check? and if we need to replace it does anyone happen to have a 98 ka24de throttle body

mine reads 100% at WOT...might wanna check voltage..maybe a bad connection in the AFC wiring?

the TPS voltage with no throttle should be 4.5v or around there, i think.

should be .45-.55 volts when fully closed and 4.5-5.0 volts when WOT, check it at the sensor first and then if thats ok, check and the ECU and so on

do u have to take the TPS out to check Voltage?

no just plug into the back of the connector while it is hooked up. you know it might also be loose physically and moving around as the engine moves so check to make sure both screws are tight. but just loosen them up, dont take them off, and hook your multi meter in the back. check the voltage, and rotate the position of the tps until its reading properly.

when you installed the afc did you self learn the throttle angle?

should have been done during the set-up before you first started the car. with the ignition on go to monitor mode for throttle angle and keep it at wot regardless what it says just hold it at wot and it'll evenutally count its way up to 100%. after that your done.
