Hi !
i plan to upgrade my sr and i would like to have your ideas and concils.
i purchase a set of 740cc deatschwerks and i hesitate for the rest.

would like around 360-400whp for a street use and relatively fast spool.
My setup would be basic, fuel/air and ecu. No race manifold, intake, cam or bullet proof intern.

Now, i hesitate with the turbo and ecu.
witch of this turbo would be better for me ?
-gt2871 .86 or gt3071

Ecu: There is a guy near to us who reprograms ecu (almasi tuning) for around 400 $ cad, but i let myself try the powerfc Djetro version to upgrade to map.

Sorry for my english talking :0) i don't speak it much

So, whats you think of all that ?
to give you an idea of my setup, here my cardomain page: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/282710
thanks all

2871 is the biggest I would go on a T2. People have had many problems with the 3071WG.

I think the GT2871R would be the best for your setup and should make you happy.

im running the .86 a/r 2871R and I like it a lot. Spools quick and makes pretty good power. S14DB is right...I wouldnt go much bigger than this on a t2 flanged manifold

ok thanks guy
Turbo must be re-clock i think ? which fittings that's require on a stock manifold and is this a good solution to go with djetro pfc version ? i'm little anxious with the base map

The 2871 should fit on the stock manifold. There are some write ups id you search: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=89663

A good ECU tune should be able to handle the GT2871R. Need a Z32 MAF.

djetro is only as good as the tuner. Which is the same for the ECU tune. People have had good luck with the APEXi. but, I know people that haven't had a good install or tuner and have had constant problems.

good GT2871R power figures thread: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=90908

I didnt need any parts besides i think some gasket for the turbo, It was far from bolt on though, clocking ,and some light fab work, right now im leaking a lot of air from the turbo from where i clocked it, I bolted it down to specs which were given me by the company so i donno, id do a psi test on it, after you clock, or maybe its just me, but now i gotta pull the mani and all that shit to retorque it. just an idea. But yes gt2871r .86 would be my choice, I got the .64, which i like but maybe I would have rather gone .86 if I could do it again.

I have the turbo with the smaller of the 2 housings and very little else aside from some very mild cams. It has dyno'ed 377 rwhp and 322 rwtq at 19 psi.

Think the .62 T3 housing would spool that turbo even quicker? Especially on something like a Onefab manifold, or the Full Race bottom mount manifold?

And what mild cams? 256? 264? Step 1? Step 2? JWT S4s? What cams Angel? heh
