does anyone know if 15x7 hayashi mesh wheels will fit on a 89-92 240sx with a +3mm offset?
it's the rite bolt pattern but i'm just wondering if the tires will rub with the +3mm offset.

With a +3mm offset your fear wont be rubbing, it will be failure of the bearings!

They should be ok on the back, but in the front you will need to run something a little higher (+11 is perfect by my calculations).

*Edit - Never mind, I just found an S13 with 15x7 +4 all around, of course it has a Silvia front end...

Offset is the distance from the center of the wheel to the place where the hub contacts the wheel. Basically the more you have the closer the tires will be to the car, but you have to take into account width as well to figure out whether it fits. Stock wheels are +40 or so i hear.

Tirerack has a good explanation with visuals.

the hayashis will fit but you'll have to run quite a bit of negative camber

thanks for the input guys!
hideyoshi,
i assume you mean running negative camber only on the front wheels rite?if so is this to prevent the wheels from hitting the fenders?

this is sorta off topic, but i dunno if i should create a new thread about it... does anyone know if the toyota cressida wheels will fit on a 240? &nbsp;It's a mesh wheel. &nbsp;I just think it would be kinda cool to use it as a drift wheel or something. &nbsp;I found a few of them at the junkyard. &nbsp;Is this a dumb idea or what? &nbsp;sorry if im pretty vague.

I'm pretty sure 15x7+3 will rub in the rear, unless you've rolled your fenders. I'm running 15x7 +5 and I'm shredding my Dunlop FM-901s on one side!! You will need a little bit of neg camb on the rear if you're running 205/55s. 205/60 will probably just rub even worse.

+3 offset in front will definitely rub unlses you've got probably at least -2.5 deg. of camber... &nbsp;
But if you can get a good deal and don't mind rolling fenders, go for it. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'>

No, &nbsp;i ran 16x7 &nbsp; &nbsp;0 offset riken mesh's. &nbsp;I didn't have any problems with fender rub. &nbsp;car was 2" drop all around.

that's because adey goes to the track. street driving you wont rub, on the track you will when you grip hard and drift. you will rub. i used to hit my fender lining with 8/6 kg springs and sway bars.
