This is a message to all of those owners of midwest S13's. I just bought an
S13 fastback and I came to discover that it had the notorious frame rail rot of the midwest. It seems to be right below the firewall area. I was just going to cut it off and fabricate and install some new ones. I was wondering if anyone had come across and fixed this problem. Any help about repairing this problem would be much appreciated.

How bad is it? Nothing a little naval jelly, sanding, paint cant fix?

I would get a new chassis and swap whatever's working into it..

The frame rails on my car are almost exactly like those in the images in that second link. Thanks for the links by the way. I was kind of planning on fabricating and welding in some replacement ones. It will be a lot of work, but I'm on a budget. After all, I did get the car for only $25.
