So i'm changing my T/C rod bushings and get everthing nice and loose (well nuts anyway) and the fuggin bolt going thru the bushing won't come out.

I try for an hour on that bolt (w/ the bushing just rotating w/ the wrench) and made no progress.

Ok, I take it to the shop and figure they'll be able to extract it and get me new ones

Think again, they say they have to cut it out which means i'm without a ride and have to pay someone.

Before I take the dive here does anyone have any advice for a last ditch effort to extract these fuggers? I think the auto shop is just taking me for a ride but also cannot think of an alternative...

Only other think is to drill it out maybe...

Or try cutting/burning the bushing out and clamping down on the metal part somehow so it won't rotate with the bolt...then just wd40 and unscrew.

That's an option, burning those bushings while on the car was something i was trying to avoid.

It may be the only way though...

These better make a difference!

They are probably rusted, corroded (bolt and inner bushing sleeve.  What I would try is douse them in penertrating oil (PB Blaster or WD40) and let them sit.  Then come back with a BFH, put the nut back on a bit so you don't completely destroy the bolt and whack it with the BFH.

Order replacement TC rod from pdm-racing. com with the poly bushes already installed.  If that inner bushing is spinning the the bushing is probably no good.

PS: you can unbolt the TC rod on the control arm, then remove the entire braket it bolts into on the front side of the car. You may need to remove the sway bar in the process.

Or you could buy some Pillowball T/C rods.. &nbsp;I highly recommend them. &nbsp; They increase steering feel greatly.

I agree with bbp as well. &nbsp;I bet you could bang those bolts out with a punch or something if you put some penetrating lube on them.

Yeah, i'm definetly not giving up on this. I just won't feel right if i pay someone, it's like paying a whore.

I'm picking up a BFH tonight (i don't one a biggun'<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>.
I've considered removing the whole bracket but just hope I'm not inviting more catastrophy w/ those bolts.
