I recommend the 88-89 model years... Larger fuel injectors and a 1piece front airdam, not to mention better seats... Sick looking cars though, I've owned three...They are a pain in the ass to get running right, a black art if you will, but once they are running good they are a lot of fun.

I had an MPI one, if you know what that means..

^ i would also suggest an 88/89

the 87's had knock box issues.....there the same injectors as the 88/89, but the transmissions were weaker and the clutch/flywheel are smaller! these cars are very touchy when it comes to the injectors/clips

the 88/89 seem to have fixed most of the issues though! I'm picking up an 88 this weekend! i'm stoked! I'll let ya know if I see any forsale though!

The SHP package had the 8/9in wide wheels. It was available in the 88/89 model years. The aero wheel covers are a very rare item.

Noskillz, You're right about the injectors. The 88/89's had a 240mm clutch vs the pre 88 220mm clutch. Long with the smaller clutch the transmissions were weaker, although their transmissions are weak in general.

I have a extremely nice 86 white. It does have a 2 inch dent on front quarter panel though...red leather interior...and a blown engine. Let me know if you are interested through PM.
