| Zilvia Member ![]() | The hks website says the 2530 is good for 320ps which would be about the same as a stock rb25 turbo. I wouldn't waste money on a direct replacement, you can probably find a cheaper turbo and have a new DP made for less than one of those.

Like say through turbonetics or just keep searching for one?

| Leaky Injector ![]() | i have a friend who runs a hks gt2535 on his Rb25 . there are no fitment issues , it bolts on just fine ( make sure you get the T3 Flange version because there is a T2 flange gt2535 as well ) all you have to do is modify the oil return line i believe. really easy just a few fittings and a steel braided line. otherwise the coolant lines bolt right up. if anything cut the lines a few inches from the banjo fitting and fit a rubber line. the lag ? what lag ? haha . that turbo for responsiveness is crazy, once you hammer the gas you get instant response. the turbo is really good for low end to mid range power but once you get to the top end it lacks a little. but all in all my buddy put down 340whp with that turbo and tuned with Power FC on 16psi

| Leaky Injector ![]() | Stock Rb25 turbo can only put out 280whp on safe boost range ( around 12psi)

Is that with stock internals? Or injectors changed as well? Thanks for the info. I want to acheive 400whp. But i know i will need help on deciding on what i need to get. AS of right now, according to what the last owner said, its making around 230 to the wheels on stock turbo with stock internals, FMIC, Apexi SAFC and Apexi EBC. I think the psi was at .90 bar for the dyno run but yea

| Leaky Injector ![]() | And what about the T-series turbo from Turbonetics? See im not to sure on how to tell what turbo is bigger then the one on it right now. Like all i can tell between their turbos is like what they say For EX. T-series is rated at 450-1000hp while the 60 series is rated at 300-750. Thats the only way i can tell between the turbos and im sure those numbers are mainly acheived through tunning and supporting mods. |

| Leaky Injector ![]() | his motor had forged internals, tomei headgasket, stock head, 750cc injectors , Power FC , thats it in a nutshell though. a good condition Rb25 can still achieve the same numbers though, its just the amount of a beating it can take ... which is alot with stock internals with good compression. about Turbo's from turbonetics i really dont know anything about that but if you research on how to understand Turbo A/R's then you can find just what your looking for. go here ----> TurboByGarrett.com - Turbo Tech101 educate yourself and you will have a much better understanding with what you want.

Lag isn't even an issue with a GT3071! With stock cams/intake manifold I believe that number is accurate - with some more modifications, I think (read: hope) the stock turbo can do 300whp, hopefully I'll be able to show that soon.

. Though I've seen RB25 turbo's do more than 300whp/10psi with a standalone.Quote:

| @RPSport.net! ![]() | From everything I have talked to steve about lag in the GT3X series of turbos, it all seems to be ignition related. Steve is one of the best Ignition tuners I know, and response, drivability and tq results are always reflective of that. Anyways, everything he has ever said is he can tune out ALL lag in those turbo and make them ultra responsive. I think people who complain that their GT3X series, ESPECIALLY ON AN RB, is laggy, probably has a S*** tune. That is the only thing I can think of, especially after seeing steve turn out car after car with a GT3X series and gobs of response. So yeah, if you bolt up a GT3X series with an AFC, its going to suck.. lol

if that dosent work then it might be your air regulator.

| Leaky Injector ![]() | no not the maf. you can find the air regulator by following the vacuum hose that comes off the charge pipe where the blow off valve is , its a pretty think hose , you cant miss it. you follow it and right by the fuel rail there is a sensor that the thick hose runs to. that my friend is the air regulator. and for the idle air control valve , its on the top back of the intake manifold. it has a brown clip. the adjuster screw is right there

what you can try actually is using sea foam on your intake manifold. sea foam did wonders for my car , made it run sooo smooth. just might get your idle issue.

| Zilvia Member ![]() | Adjust your tps to spec. See the FSM. See if you have a vacuum leak too. Also make sure your air regulator is getting power.

SR intercooler piping does not work , you need custom intercooler piping if you have S chassis car. if you have skyline it comes in a kit from greddy . and for the SR radiator no it does not work , you need a rad that has the outlet and inlet on the passenger side of the car if your car is USDM.
