There is a screw behind the tach that will adjust the RPM reading. You will need another reference for actual RPM though.

coat it with a bunch of red high temp sealant and push it in, or go to your local home depot and get a peiece of tube that fits better and also coat it with sealant to prevent leaks

I'm pretty sure people have been using the stock KA xmember with RB mounts and you can use the stock driveshaft. You can use the KA radiator also. Only the RB bell housing will work so you can't use another tranny (unless you swapped the bell housing)

okay guys... my 240sx project is nearly completed. the major thing left to do is get it painted and figure out the wiring for the tach/speedometer.

anyone have a link that will help explain how to wire up the transmission to get the speedo/tach working? Am I just going to have to get an aftermarket Tach? I tried searching, but could not find what I was looking for. Maybe someone who has seen a thread before can point me in the right direction.

thanks!

oh ya and for everyone. These installs have a number of ways to be done, depending on if you utilize a R33 GTST crossmember with the stock RB engine brackets, (which is what we do) or not.
We choose this particulare method because it allowed us with our Custom Urethane mounts to move the engine as far back and as low as possible in the S13 chassis.
Yes we did custom power steering lines,it works kick ass too!! I am in the process of finishing up my air, using a RB25 R33 air con compressor and fittings. All we had to do is have the lines extended to my stock lines coming from the firewall.
The only reason I say what I say is because compared to whats on the market our setup is cleaner and looks much more factory.
Ours will be a product not someones back yard job.
my question to u is is it possible to have a rb26 6-speed tranny with the awd in a 93 240...if it is what steps do i need to take in making that happen

^^^ obviously if you have to ask its something you can't do so either you need lots of $$$ or lots of $$$. intense amount of fab work, and the getrag 6 speed alone will run more than 5K

nope . there are no downpipes that would fit straight from factory .

best thing to do is buy a downpipe , cut the flange where it connects to the o2 housing. the rotate the flange you cut a few degrees, then bolt it up to the o2 housing , mark it , the take it off and weld it together.

syko performance downpipe is o2 housing plus downpipe combo so you dont have to cut, clock and reweld.

if you are just buying an SR downpipe then it goes back to you having to do a little custom work.

Turbo timer should match the car, not the engine. It installs in the ignition harness.

Ok already made a thread about this. But after installing my turbo timer, the car wouldnt start. Electrics work but no start. Took the turbo timer off(harness) reconnected the starter how it should be and then the car starts again? What could be the problem with? On the starter there are six connections in the plug but on the harness there are only five connections for it. Im really stumped on this one.

Check this out.

Now that the PFC for the RB is discontinued, Haltech has released a direct replacement ecu for the R32/R33 Engines / Cars. You can use the OEM MAF(S) or upgrade to MAP with this ecu, its really your choice.

Here is a link to haltech's site about it:
Platinum Pro R32 / R33 Plug-in - Haltech Engine Management Systems

MSRP Is about $1680

Whats a good, almost direct turbo? See that some people say there are turbos that are direct bolt ons but then right after say will need some fitment issues resolved? I see most people using the HKS GT2530 turbo.

Is this a straight bolt on with this turbo? Is the lag really bad? Or should i look for another turbo instead?

Thanks all
