I'm about to buy a car like.... today. And well its a graet deal he just posted it a few days ago and all I need to know is it says "Suspension Needs Alignment".... Whats tha mean ther? I'm sure it could mean a couple of things but is that gonna cost me more than $1,000? Cuz otherwise I am bout to buy the car today... If I tear out the old suspension..put in new Eibach Sportline Springs, Some strut bars and maybe even some serious shock system would I be good to go? AHHH PLEASE RESPOND IM FRANTIC!!!!!

could mean anything. could mean the alignment has just drifted out of spec and needs a quick check at the local shop (cheap). Or it could mean he was a retard and spun his car, dumped it over a curb and bent suspension pieces (costly). don't cut  corners buying a car. Take it to a dealer, pay them $200 to go over the car from head to toe. And buying coilovers isn't replacing the whole suspension or major work, theres lots of fun little bits which can get fucked up along the way.

In all likelyhood, the seller meant that it needs a basic alignment...$60 bucks at the local tire shop to put you camber, caster, and toe back to factory specs.  But talk to guy and ask him...don't buy something you know nothing  about.

have the dealer get the alignment done.  WTF? He is the one selling the car, why would he try to sell a car with a bad alignment... what else is wrong with it?  Sounds to me like you have a crappy dealer who is moving his problems on to someone else.

If he agrees to have it aligned, make sure you get the alignment specs from whoever did the work.

*Ususally the wheels need aligned, NOT the suspension.  If the suspension needs aligned, then the car has bounced off some curbs or something.

I have to get my 240 aligned i think, i get this vibration of the stearing wheel at round 65. How much does a 4 wheel alignment and high speed balancing cost?
