LSD Fluid?

Can someone tell me when replacing the fluid in VLSD, what is a proper replacement for it? I went to Autozone and they had a gear oil section for LSD's but was not sure what I should use since I have refilled an LSD before.

Can someone please recommend a brand and weight that works well in a V-LSD.

Thanks

Your good ol standard non synthethic 85w90. Just treat your VLSD llike your open diff, when it comes to changing the fluid.

Is synthetic bad for the LSD & what do you mean treat it like an open differential? Sorry but this is my first LSD.

VLSD is a sealed diff. It has an internal lubricating system which isn't affected by the type of fluid you fill it up externally.

So that internal lubricating system never requires service...that is neat. Thanks for the info!

Just make sure you use VLSD output shafts. Good luck
