Trader Rating: (8) Feedback Score: 8 reviews | 91 Hatch starting problem Okay I finally got me a hatch from this local guy. Problem is it won't start up. Here's the rundown: -Only starts up with a jump. -Battery light does NOT come on. -Car runs fine once started. -Car has new battery installed. -Car needs the jumper cables attached to remove the key from ignition once the car is turned off. -Once car is shut off, all power just drains out. I can watch the clock fade away within seconds. - Old owner said the car had problems one day when he left the headlights on overnight, came out the next morning and had the start up problem. Here's what I'm thinking. It's not the alternator, cause the car runs fine and no battery light comes on. It could be one of the fuse relays that has gone bad and is constantly sucking power. Or there's a crossed wire somewhere that's causing a short. Any thoughts? I just want to get this baby on the road asap. thanks guys.
