SR Stock SR20DET Redtops specs

I did a search for this, but was unable to find anything. The forums advanced search option sucks.

Anyways. My friend just completed a redtop swap in his S14, and just got it running today. He is out driving it around right now and he called me with a question. He wanted to know the STOCK redline for the redtop. I searched outside of the site for awhile, and all i could find was 6000rpms. Is that right? Please help!
Thanks

it is possible to increase that number by adding a different degree of cam, correct? When i do my SR swap, I am going to do either a 264 degree cam or a 272. I think those are the correct degrees. I am just pulling them off the top of my head. Can you guys teach me more about this?

no, you cannot increase the stock redline without any work on the current valvetrain. You'd need stiffer springs and rocker arms stoppers and even that won't be enough

i might be wrong or wrongly informed, but i was told that 8,000rpms is redline but passing 7,500rpms your risking floatings your valves!
