Brake Pedal feels soft (Spongy)?

I just bought a new caliper, and installed it by myself, however when i drove my car around it makes this scraping noise on my brake rotor, and my brake pedal felt spongy?

about the spongy pedal, did you bleed the caliper after install? it might be that causing the spongy feeling...
