Rogue starting problems. Halp!

Spec:
1995 Nissan 240sx Stock KA24de 160k Miles.
Story time:
Running some errands been driving around like normal for about 1/2 an hour. Went to Winco, parked, got groceries came out to the car and I turn the key and the engine turns over. I can do that for 5 minutes and it just won't run. After minutes of trying and nothing I called a friend to come pick me up, while I was waiting decided to try and start it and sure enough "wah-wah Vroom!" started up and ran just fine. So I continue on to my errands, go to the hardware store, come back out, hop in, starts up just fine after that, last stop was Radio Shack. It does it to me again, come out to the car, try turning it over and that's all it does...turn over. The sound of it turning over is consistent, as in no time in the 2 minutes I can keep cranking the engine over will it act like it's going to start running if this makes any sense ie. wah wah wah wah wah WAH Wah wah wah (<------Doesnt do that)...No signs of it trying to run when I turn it over.
It gets better, after it left me calling a taxi at radio shack to get home I come back a few hours later with a friend and first try it starts up like it normally does. Now it sits in my drive way in fear of it stranding me where ever I take it.

SO! I'm left wondering could it be my coil being intermittently bad?
It just seems like I'm not getting any spark, because I have fuel, I have compression because if it will start it runs just fine. Any help would be great, thanks guys (:
