T25/28 on an sr20

Okay so I've been around 240s for a while but I just got my first sr and it needs a turbo. I searched and browsed a bit but couldn't find a straight answer to what I was looking for. There's a new t25/t28 for sale locally for a really good price, If I was to buy it what, if anything, would I have to change to get this thing running. Thanks, James

Nothing.. if you got the stock t25, and a mild tune for the S14/15 T28. slap it in connect the oil/water lines and your good to go.

Is it a t25 or t28? There is a difference.

Probably the ISIS t25/t28 replacement. It's like a stock t25 but with a little bit better flow and a bigger exhaust side, looks straight up like a t25 though. I'm running one on my KA-T.

So is it a downgrade from an s14 sr t28?

Could you elaborate? Obviously it's a downgrade in quality, but the site says it's a direct replacement, meaning it should be the same amount of power

Direct replacement means it fits in the exact same place.
according to a old post i found on zilvia:
the factory t25 is Exhaust 0.48 AR, compressor 0.49 AR
The pre 1996 s14 t28 is Exhaust 0.64 AR, compressor 0.60 AR

So unless both sides are of t28 AR, then its a downgrade. Plus its not a Factory garret like the sr ones, its pretty much a ebay turbo. Not to say i wouldn't run a isis one since i have girly t25 anyway, they have a great price and claim 300hp.. lol

Edit, isis lists the exhaust side as .86 so i have no idea.
IsIS says this: "Turbo Specifications:
Exhaust side 0.86 A/R turbine housing,"
Wich kind of looks like they forgot a number..

Edit again

Check out these threads, im kinda getting sold on one of there the more i research for this thread lol
ISIS T25/T28 Replacement Turbos - ** IN STOCK **
ISIS Turbocharged S14 Makes Cross Country Trip

I mean, 260-300 is about the end of a s14 t28, so i guess it's a pretty good option.
I think stand corrected

I know that the t25 and t28 are different turbos, he's saying it's a hybrid one. I'm trying to get my pics to upload from my phone
