your dealer?if its nismo your dealer should have it. Or they can otfrt it for you if your counter guy is smart.

try nismo-parts.com

and

nismoparts.com

or phase2motortrend.com

i tihnk all three are nismo distributors, or at least the first two is.

Just go to any auto store and buy Mobile 1 gear oil in 80w-90 GL-5. Is there some reason you need Nismo? I think Mobile 1 is about $8 per quart. You could also get Valvoline semi-synthetic for $4 per quart or somewhere around there. I broke in my diff with valvoline and just put in the Tomei oil. Next time, I'm going to use mobile 1. I bet Mobile 1 oil is actually better than the jay-dee-em oil. I wouldn't be surprised if all that expensive diff oil comes from here anyways and that's why it's so expensive. It probably goes to japan and comes back and that's why it costs an arm and a leg.

Question

Yeh, finding the right oil is kinda hard. I cant even go to good ole Kragens... all they had was GL-4 Valvoline... BUT it is MT1 and 75W-90... so maybe it works... 8.99 for 1 gal

Im confused about the terms. forgot my autoshop stuff... From wut Ive found online, GL-5 indicates the amount of additives present. anything else? I bought the valvoline more for my trans and the clerk said its good for limited slip diffs too... but i dunno.

BTW, i only have VLSD... but stil maybe better to be safe n get a synthetic GL-5 huh?

yeah but i drive nearly 300 miles a week
so 300x4=1200 at 2 months - 2400 plus miles
so i like changing every 3K miles or so..track time more often changes.

for such a EXPENSIVE piece of eqiptment, i dont like to mess around. better safe then sorry
and its SUCH a easy job..oil is less then 20 bucks for the 2 Redline bottles so no worries

I wouldnt take the "risk" of not changing it when you should...

btw...I use Pennzoil 80w-90 GL-5 non synthetic for my kaaz. It works great and is almost super silent...

That's fine. The Tomei oil that comes with it is 80w-90 so you don't have to worry about anything. Just try a different oil in a couple of months when you change it to see what you like.
