Bee*R Power Builder... How does it work when..?

So I wasn't sure where to put this...

I just picked up the Bee*R Rev limiter. It has 2 knobs - one for rev limit and one for launch control.

So I guess most people wire it to the handbrake to activate the launch control. Others have wired the switch to the clutch - fully depressed would kick it in and limit it to the set RPM.

I want to go the clutch route but Im a little confused... If I were going WOT at 5500 RPM and clutch in to upshift with the rev limiter set at 3500 what happens?

Nothing because there is no fuel in the cylinders as you are off the throttle and RPM> 1500. If you have to ask you shouldn't be installing one.

Well Im just trying to understand..

WIth the clutch depressed its going to mess with the timing at whatever interval its set to - I guess Im just asking if its going to have any unintended effects if its linked to the clutch..

at least he is asking questions first prior to install. Most "people" would have installed, tested, broke/dmg stuff, and then came to here with questions...

Wire it to your ebrake, unless you are using it for full throttle upshifts.

Also, your rev limiter should have three knobs, one for rev limit, another for rev limit to a switch, and a third to set the gain.

First, the Bee*R you purchased from me has three knobs (as previously stated).

Please be careful when installing these man. It only takes one crossed wire to burn something up. I recommend professional installation.

This is just for reference and it may not be applicable to your particular motor. Please do not attempt to wire this up on your own.

1320 Engineering is doing all the work. I am having all the electronics done (Defis, EBC, Turbo timer, rev limiter) as well as having the car completely rewired. I'm just trying to get an understanding of how it works before... as mentioned before.. I fuck something up.

Thanks for the help!
