What triggers ecu to signal fuel pump?

Recently just got a newharness cause mine was pretty messy .

Did all the cutting extending etc etc checked every pin etc etc
go to plug in and start. everyhing but the fuel pump turned on.
We have checked everything front and back twice everything from the ecu to the relay to the back of the car is in working order.

All I need to find out is whAt tells the ecu to send the signal to the fuel pump and my problem will be solved. Hopefully someone may have the answer.

i had the same problem, i eventually found out that when i repinned the plugs that the fuel pump wire (i think black and pink) wasnt making contact with the other pin in the other plug. Just a thought.

I'll make sure to double check that on Monday hen I can get to my car. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's all connecting fine though.

Check out my thread:

Ultimate S13 SR wiring guide

pin 104 Fuel pump relay output - Black/Pink, connect to ground pin of fuel pump relay

This wire is in the brown plug by the battery:

Brown Plug, 8 pin, 3 pins empty, cut and rewire as Black/Pink - fuel pump relay ground pin controlled by pin 104 of ECU, connect to ground pin of fuel pump relay

Connect this wire to the Black/Pink wire on the KA plug by the battery.

As far as what tells the ECU to turn on the fuel pump, the ignition switch provides power to the ECU. The ECU can turn the fuel pump on and off at its whim as long as the key is at ON or ST.

Nothing else tells the ECU to turn on the fuel pump.
