I ran through most of my schematics and found almost nothing that would help. The problem I am having, would be that my digital speedometer is out. I will start the car up and it wont turn on. I know when you turn the key to ACC that the digital speedometer is suppose to light up as zero. So in the case that it wouldn't turn on. I would turn the light switch to its first ditent and then the speedometer would come on, but now it wont. I am suspecting that my head up display control unit is FRIED due to the age of the car and the wiring. If anyone has any ideas or can point me in the right direction to a full schematic out look of the whole car I would greatly appreciate it AND PDF FILES would be fine for the schematic.

To all that maybe having close to the same issues check the last thing you changed or visually inspect the wires for opens and connectors for either being loose, cracked, or filled with that electronic goo.

Based on my experience, there are two possibilities. Bad capacitor or bad power supply. You can try to replace capacitor, but if power supply is out I don't know how to fix it. I don't think anyone knows that. To me, you have a bad capacitor, so give it a shot.
