is it really worth it to get slotted subframe collars ?

i think it would be much easier to install for the fact that you dont have to totally take out the subframe. but for functionality do they do the same thing ?

are there any downsides to using slotted subframe collars ?

If the subframe bushings are totally shot then I would go ahead and replace them. If they are just weak but the rubber is still intact, subframe spacers will do the job well.
