im having a problem with my vtc. Im thinking its jus the vtc cilinoid. Do these usually go out. What would b the reason. Does anyone know where i can get a cheap vtc cilinoid for an s14 sr20

If your VTC is making a knocking sound, then you need to replace the VTC sprocket.

I believe they go for around $300-400us.

You can probably get this from a nissan dealer in ca for less than $300. i got for less than that but im not sure if i got it at wholesale.

If it is making a loud clicking noise then replace it with a new one or get a used one like I did from ebay UK.. You can find them their sometimes for like 60 or 70 bucks ..... fix it right up.

Or get rid of it by getting an S13 sprocket...
