key stuck in ignition

so i went to start my car today to see if the battery was dead....it was.

on top of that fiasco my key now seems to be stuck in the ignition. it still will turn to all the setting( on, acc, ect) however when you go to pull it out it will not release.

YES I PUSHED THE RELEASE BUTTON.

so are my tumblers all of a sudden worn out? and if so how do i go about replacing. i have never done this before.

thanks

GOOD LUCK!

i know for my car, 95 nissan, they stopped making keys not too long ago. i got a set that was suppose to be for my ear but ended up being the wrong last s14 set in stock... so good luck on getting a key set for your car! the whole set was about 200 for me...

Wow, I just read this in the driver's manual and someone needs the answer. Today is your lucky day, well I hope I'm right .

Anyways, around the key ring there's a plastic trim. Pop it off with a flat head or something and there is a metal piece wire/spring looking thing. I think if you fiddle with it, it'll manually let your key free.

If that doesn't work out, I'll go get my manual from my glove box. Lemme know suh!

Yes pull the ring out like druthafoo said. If you look where the push tab is, there is a red or orange (square I think ?) button. You press that and your key will come out.

Mine did that for a while and for whatever reason started working again. Hope this helps.
