currently on my s14, the passenger door will lock with both the alarm and with the key. but it will not unlock with the car alarm. i have to manually unlock the door with the key. it seems to be frozen but not entirely sure what it is. any help would be great thanks

OE alarm or aftermarket? What happens when lock/unlock with the switch?

The actuator is probably on it's last leg.

its aftermarket car alarm, clifford

when i hit the car alarm it makes a redundant noise as if its trying to unlock but cant. then i would have to manually unlock it myself

Yes, but like I asked, does it also do that when you unlock from the OE switch?

If so, the actuator is dying. Replace it. If not, the alarm has a weak pulse on the unlock side. That's less likely however, it's a ground trigger, low current, rare that an alarm doesn't have enough current to trip the OE relays.
