| The 510 Post Whore ![]() | 1995 KA24DE Wiring Harness QUESTION There's only ONE wire that I'm having a question about. On the ECU plug: Pin #33 = Red/Yellow = TPS Sensor On the F3 plug: Pin #26 = Green/Orange = TPS Both of these ended up getting cut (I'd assume for a reason?) when I was stripping the extra harness. When going through and double checking that everything I had cut was supposed to be, I caught these... Problem is, neither one connect to the TPS in any way. TPS power, ground and signal are all plugged into the ECU as normal. But these two pins are leaving me stumped. I'm ASSUMING they're supposed to connect to eachother? If so, I'll solder them together and I can finish wrapping things up. If NOT, are they to be de-pinned with the rest of the crap I'm not using, or... what's the deal? Let me know!!

| Post Whore! ![]() | I'm not video capable in my ever impending drunken stupor, but there is not connection between the TPS and the tach signal. The tach is generated from the CMPS, it has nothing to do with the TPS. You sure it's a 1995 harness? It is an auto harness? Auto and 96+ harnesses have an extra plug on the TPS.

| The 510 Post Whore ![]() | I mentioned nothing about tach signal. Both pins are listed as Throttle Position Sensor related. On top of that, the Throttle Position Sensor only has 3 wires; the ground, the power and the signal. All three of those wires have been traced back to the ECU with no faults or discrepancies. Like I said, on the ECU plug, Pin #33 is a Red/Yellow wire listed as TPS Signal, and on the F3 plug, Pin #26 is a Green/Orange wire listed as TPS. As of right now, neither of those are connected to anything, but I'm prepared to solder a wire connecting them if someone assures me they're supposed to be linked...

| The 510 Post Whore ![]() | Also, it's not an Auto, there's no "extra" plug for the TPS, it should be a 95 manual. All pins and colors match up with the 1995 pinout, and the F3 plug is there... but there's no OBDII port, so it's a 1995 harness for sure.

| Violent Running Asshole ![]() | they could be consult or emissions related... i say depin what you need and keep everything you don't use in a box. So when you troubleshoot it later and realize you need it for something else to work you can just put it right back where it goes and isolate the incident for later. I still have every harness wire I have removed or no longer in use in a box. |

| The 510 Post Whore ![]() | Thanks, Wayne. I kind of told myself that's what I was going to do anyway. The only thing I can assume those wires are for is consult. There's no other reason for the ECU to be sending a TPS signal to another plug. I've kept all the extra wires/pins, too. It'll be nice in case I need to splice a wire, I'll have all the same colors and such. It'd be nice, though, to plug this harness in and have no issues!! Thanks for the help.
