I am new to the community. I just picked up a 97 S14 with a SR20DET in it. I am not sure on the year of the motor and how i could Identify it, but the previous owner said it is a S14 SR20. The speedo doesnt work everything is all plugged in on the tranny and nothing works for the Speedo. The tach and all the rest of the gauges and lights work just not the speedo. I was wondering if there is some sort of mod that needs to be done in order to make it work or if I need to test the sensor or whatever. I want the crusie control to work and I know it realy's on the speedo. I am pretty car savy, but i am new to this car and not sure on what works with what. Any help anyone could provide would be appreciated.

With cruise control, you need the ka tb that has both for cruise control cable and throttle cable. Sr only (or at least mines and a lot of others) comes with just the throttle cable.

About your speedo, im in the same boat as you are. Multiple speed sensors and still dont work. The tranny i have suppose to have shorter ratio, but i dont know, came with swap and never worked prior. Its ok though, flow with traffic or just a tad bit slower.
