KA weird ka-t idle issue

weird issue, tried to turn the car on and it wont stay on unless I blip the gas a couple times, then it holds it idles fine. during the driving though there is no issues, revs fine not weird noises or anything.

things I have tried:
1. checked tps was sitting at .222v when car was off and fsm said it should be .4 volts so I fixed that.
2. checked idle screw to make sure its open enough wasnt so I opened it so it holds idle between 750-775.

these things did improve the idle when it could idle but it did not fix the issue I was having. I am thinking maybe my iacv is dirty and needs to be cleaned?

anyone have any other ideas on things i can check?

my setup is the following:

95 240sx obd1
-ross 8.5:1 pistons
-eagle rods
-650cc injectors
-n60 maf
-s13 cams
-s13 ecu tuned ecu for 550's and n60 maf using afc to accomadate for bigger injectors
-synapse bov
-gt3076 .82/ar
-tial 38mm waste gate with 8psi spring

Here's my theory: since the ECU is tuned for 550's and you're using 650's, it's possible that this causes the car to start up too rich and take a few seconds or more before the AFC can make adjustments. Just a theory...

Does it idle fine after the initial problems at startup? How long have you been ka-t?

GL!

I have this problem as well. I only have it on initial start-up. After a couple minutes of driving, it idles fine. I already checked what you did, and cleaned up my idle control valve and whatnot.

We'll I was ka-t for all of 3 weeks last year . then both my turbo and clutch went back then though I never had this issue at all!

then this year I replaced the turbo with the gt30 and then replaced the clutch with a dxd clutch(company in Indianapolis! awesome clutch) and have been running into this issue.

the one thing that I am kinda worried about though is the gas that was sitting in the gas tank was 1 year old this year but before I pulled the tranny the car still started up fine and held its idle.

see mine does it on initial start up AND every start up after that it doesn't matter if its cold or hot thats the biggest thing for me if it was just the initial start up and then it would be good after it warmed up I wouldnt bother with it.

Have you checked your timing to make sure it's correct? Clean your maf as well, that might help. If nothing else, check the ecu to see if it's showing any trouble codes.

k so today when I got home I tried running the car with the maf unplugged and it idled! weak idle but idled! I switched out the maf for for a n62 and it wouldnt idle but I think it might be related to the coolant sensor being off a s14 and me running a s13 ecu so I am going to replace that tomorrow.
