You may want to check out the timing chain it's self as apposed to the Ignition timing from the crank pulley. it may be possible that it could have skipped a tooth.Sorry that i couldnt be more help. Also, i recently made a mistake in adjusting my timing. the timing marks are in order from left to right 10ATDC TDC 10BTDC 20BTDC 30BTDC and 40BTDC....just incase.

i misunderstood the marks myself at first and i had the EXACT same problem...turns out mine was retd, 15 degrees... :[

remember they are in increments of 10...as i thought they were 5 lol if you have a SOHC the stock is 15Deg or half way between the 3rd and 4th tick mark from the left. and for the DOHC is 20 deg. or right on the 4th tick mark from the left.

hope that helps!

Bad ignition grounds, check plugs and plug gap, check fuel pressure, check fuel pump condition, check injectors and check MAF sensor wiring
