| Premium Member ![]() | Not only is the fitment terrible but the baffling starts to go and fucks up the shitty glasspacks after about a year on those 'ebay' mufflers and they sound shittier and shittier until it sounds like pure ricer goodness. Not worth it, don't cheap out on anything. |

| I did this on my Accord a long time ago. Magnaflow muffler was $110 and shop went cat back to it 2.25" all the way back. At first without resonator and it was pretty loud in cabin at highway speeds so I went back and had them ad a resonator. I couldn't believe the sound though. Nice and deep for a four banger. I used to get asked all the time what type of catback system I had. All in all it cost a total of $220. As far as performance I am sure it added no more than 5-10 horsepower but where I felt the difference is in the low RPM range where the accord used to suck, it got a little better. It did not sound ricey at all and just a tad louder and much deeper than stock. Inside the car you couldn't really tell much difference in sound but when I took it to say discount tire or somewhere where someone else drove it I was like "was that my car" I looked around to see if it was something more expensive but it was my car. Sorry for the long explaination but if custom shops do exhaust work for all these 60's muscle cars why do we need to pay 600 dollars for something prefabbed. Why pay 200 for something prefabbed with shitty fit when you can get it custom made for same price. Performance between custom and these high dollar systems might be about 1-2 horsepower and maybe bragging rights. Which I would rather brag that my 200 dollar exhausts fits and sounds better then the next guys 600plus name brand. | |

| Leaky Injector | yeah I bought a nice looking ebay catback that I can always cut the can off and weld in a nice muffler when I find one I really like. i just wanted to get this particular one because it comes with a resonator and a test pipe, ended up costing about 150 after shipping. Hey how many exhaust hanger do i need on an S13? i think it is 4 2 for the muffler section and 2 for the "mid pipe" section, are they all the same hangers or does the midpipe use a different hanger? |
| | |
| | #73 |
| depending on the one you bought its 3 to 4 hangers, just get the 4" outlet, I have the 4.5" outlet and its fing loud as hell, have to use the silencer. At least its a complete bolt catback w/the test pipe; tired of seeing people place those $20 welded on mufflers. | |

| Leaky Injector | finally got everything in the mail and installed, honestly aside from having to cut the downpipe to get the old exhaust off, the hangers were the tougest part lol. Anyway it looks great and sounds even better to my surprise, who thought a $78 catback would sound as good as it does, headers might have somethingt o do with that though. My only complaint is that when I start it up or turn it off I can hear the piping clang around, that might just be because my egr stuff is not hooked up yet or maybe i just need to put some high heat padding so it doesn't bang around...as for the egr i am too lazy to take of the intake manifold so I am going to make my own piping and use a brass fitting or something to re connect it. I am still not done as i do have a small exhaust leak right before the cat, lol I was ouside for too long i think I got heatstroke and put a gasket on backwards or something...we shall see but mostly it is done....just some loose ends to tie up, i'll post some pics tomorrow too |

| Leaky Injector | yeah you need to get a catback according to the make of your car so the piping clears all the moving parts so you can get any s13 exhaust, you might need to make a custom downpipe or cat section though. |

| Nissanaholic! ![]() | my ebay exhaust was great. fit great, never leak no matter how many times it hit pavement, no rust, or broken hangers. lasted about 3 years then sold it when i got my fence post exhaust. if you have a s13 buy an s13 exhaust if you have a s14 buy an s14 the engine doesnt matter. downpipe set up is what really matters .

| Ezel verkrachtende schijteter ![]() | I didn't read any of this mess. But when it comes to duals all the n1 looking ones suck. Funny thing is the SSautochrome n1 dual fits better than the Apexi dual n1. Both are fucking ugly though. Ehh, it kills some power. But it isn't as bad as most make it sound. I mean they come from the factory with small exhaust so it's whatever. Everyone talks like they car will blow up with a small exhaust. |

| Leaky Injector | Hey my headers and catback are both from ebay and they are great!! a header back system for under $200!! Why pay for name brands when they are all made in china anyway It's not like having ebay engine internals, exhaust is hardly a perfomance mod anyway mostly for sound/tone. Iactually searched everywhere for an ebay badge to put on my muffler lol, but I couldn't find one...i just wanted to piss off all the name brand people i'll post some pics tomorrow, I washed the car then go too lazy to wait for my camera to charge |

| I'm back. ![]() | I ran a ssac single exit on my old sr like 4 years ago, it was actually very good quality, fit well, and looked good. I was incredibly surprised.
