buy a timing light
12mm socket

warm up the car a bit
turn off ac, radio ect.

disconnect TPS its the sensor right underneath the throtle you cant miss it
rev the car three times at 3k this locks it up.

now connect timing light
to make adjustment loosen the 12mm bolts on the CAS just LOOSEN
and adjust from there

and its 20 degrees from the last mark
every mark is 5 deegres

SR20 Setup Tips

he mentions to use the loop on the coilpack harness, but i tried it and don't get an accurate reading.

use a spark plug wire and plug it into cyl#1 spark plug and connect the coilpack to the other end of the spark plug wire, then conenct the timing light pickup to the saprk plug wire.

but yeah the dude that said disconnect the TPS is right, i'm just including the details he didn't include.
