Can these be refurbished?
I've got one mechanic here in Yokosuka saying they can, and another saying they can't.

Either way I am most likely getting a Greddy Profec B Spec II to replace it (most likely cheaper than rebuilding)

Hear nothing but complaints on the EVC V....

I hade the profec b spec 2 and hated it. Its so confusing to setup. I have the evc V now and I love it. Very user friendly and does it job well.

I have no idea about refurbishing them. Try calling HKS. I would hope they would know about that. I know for sure you can buy replacement components for the evc. Like if you just need the solenoid or just the display or something.
