Passed my smog last week and after the smog my engine check light on. Car runs and idl normal but just wanna know why my eng light is on.

I changed coupe thing few months back...

-New O2
-New spark plugs
-Clean the manifold
-New knock sensor

You should have someone check the codes
Last time my check engine light came on for no reason it had to do with the EGR
Then I checked it and everything seemed fine
So I turned off the code
Idk if this helps

EGR been changed year ago... shouldn't be that problem but Ill check the code

it can be millions of things!

autozone cant rent out those scan tools anymore because of a law that has passed. you usually can just put a deposit of 150 and once you return the tool you get your money back.

sooooo.....i bought one of those scan tools but the cheap ones that test 92 and older nissans/toyotas. havent used it but once it works out for me ill help you scan for codes.
