hello ppl i had a question, few days ago i tried to smog my 89 coupe and it passed every test but one, it was the last part of the emissions test. so i went to a shop to get my cat looked at, that looked fine, and my muffler looks good also, im wondering if i post whatever numbers and other information i have, can anyone give me advice on what my problem might be? i also noticed that the car does not accelerate like it should, small sputtering but it still rides nice. any info is very much appretiated, and i will be back soon with exact numbers and info from the failed smog test. - lex

number will do us a favor..from the numbers you can usually find out whats at fault..did you fail in timing to?? if your hella out of spec your numbers can be hella wrong cause of it

EGR? Check if your MAF its still good? Seafoam the car? It could be alot of things man give us more details

i think i heard it on here that pulling an injector and making it run on 3 will get u to pass every time wouldnt know though San Antonio dont have that (thank god)

hm..im not sure bout that one that would make car stumble lol you dont have to be a ca smog tech to know if something fishy when you got a motor in front of you hesitating and wanting to die ...
