ls1 wiring s14 ignition

ok this is frustrating, im way tired but i have to know before tomorrow.

i got 2 wires to splice into stock s14 ignition under the column.

the wires can't be right from FSM since my friends ls1 s14 thats in my shop too has wires differently than what FSM suggests.

i got 2 wires to hook up.

1) Starter wire. by fsm starter wire is BLACK/yellow. he hooked his up to black/white.

2) Switched 12v. im assuming i have to hook up to white/blue which is ACC since its ON when key is turned and on when car runs.
his is hooked up to red/black i think. i wired those wires in for pcm/inejector/fuel rail.

any input peeps?

you want the wire that is on whenever the key is in "on" or "run" position, as true ACC power is accessory, which de-energizes while cranking, the re-energizes as the key is sprung back to "on". you want "IGN" power, the one that stays on in the "on" position and also stays energized while cranking.

starter wire will only engage when key is to start position, and will no energize at any other time. grab a multimeter. have fun!

that explains why his is hooked to black/red. hmmm

black and white is also a 12v switched thats on with the key on run and on with the car running. so that solves that.

now the starter wire has to be wrong because his is untaped and it runs. FSM got to be wrong on the color
