So I was driving and my clutch pedal went all the way to the floor. My first thought was either the master or slave cyl, I take a look under the car and the slave cyl has extended so much that it is now leaking fluid.

Take it off and it seems fine, but the clutch fork has a ton of play. You can pull it in and out, and there is no resistance when pushing it back and forth?

Any ideas?

looks like your fork came off. can you move it up and down easily?

Also, a new slave will be ideal as well, might've been just old and busted.

Try that.

Slave is brand new, and I also tested it with a backup and the same thing happened. The fork moves pretty easily in about every direction, so I guess just drop the tranny and see whats up?

bump!!! i have the same problem.. but im not leaking any fluids so it might be the forks??

Clutch fork. Most likely the pivot ball broke.

Cheap to replace. Get a Nismo one and fuhgeddaboutit.

Bad slave cylinder, bad master cylinder, broken release bearing fork or worn clutch disc. If you look under the car just behind the passenger side front tire and have someone push in the clutch pedal you should be able to see the slave cylinder push on the end of the release bearing fork. If it doesn't move then you have a nice cheap $40.00 half hour job ahead of you. Consider yourself lucky. If it moves and pushes on the release bearing fork the problem is internal and you'll have to pull the transmission.

yea..its probably the pivot ball, common issue with these cars and especially if you have an aftermarket clutch. If you have a problem after you install the pivot, check the clutch line distribution block. Its common for those to go bad too..if it does, bend the line and make direct connection --makes the pedal feel much better too. good luck.
